California Association of Area Agencies on Aging (C4A)
The California Association of Area Agencies on Aging (C4A) is a nonprofit organization representing California's 33 area agencies on aging. The association is an advocate for meeting the needs of seniors and adults with disabilities, with the purpose to implement the provisions and intent of the Older Americans Act and the Older Californians Act.

California Commission on Aging (CCA)
The California Commission on Aging serves as "the principal advocate in the state on behalf of older individuals, including, but not limited to, advisory participation in the consideration of all legislation and regulations made by state and federal departments and agencies relating to programs and services that affect older individuals.

California Department of Aging (CDA)
The California Department of Aging administers a broad range of home- and community-based services throughout California, working primarily with 33 Area Agencies who serve seniors and adults with functional impairments.

California Health Advocates (CHA)
California Health Advocates is a non-profit organization dedicated to Medicare advocacy and education for Californians. Their website provides accurate and unbiased information about Medicare benefits and long-term care for people who live in California.

California Legislative Information
Search for information on state legislation and/or subscribe to receive e-mail notices about specific bills or types of bills that will be considered or amended in the Assembly or State Senate.

Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP)
The California Department of Aging's Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) provides personalized counseling, community education and outreach events for Medicare beneficiaries. HICAP is the primary local source for accurate and objective information and assistance with Medicare benefits, prescription drug plans and health plans.

The Area Agency on Aging Council of California (TACC)
The TACC's mission is to promote communication and collaboration among local advisory councils and key state partners through the exchange of information, ideas, trends and models of service delivery. The TACC is the advocate on issues of concern in local/state planning processes and helps to strengthen the effectiveness of local advisory councils.

American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)
AARP is the nation's leading organization for people age 50 and older. It serves their needs and interests through information and education, advocacy, and community services which are provided by a network of local chapters and experienced volunteers throughout the country. The organization also offers members a wide range of special benefits and services, including Modern Maturity magazine and the monthly Bulletin.

Elder Care Locator
A public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging that helps older adults and their caregivers find local services for seniors.

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is the nation’s leading nonprofit service and advocacy organization representing older adults and the community organizations that serve them. The council's goal is to improve the health and economic security of 10 million older adults by 2020.
